WEEKEND RITUAL #25 : FUN, FOOD, & FROLICS
After last week's whirlwind weekend of fun I was plunged back into the deep end and spent Monday and Tuesday up to my elbows in work - of both the blogging and university variety. Naturally, by Wednesday the post-vacation/mid-week blues were in full-force, so a huge girlie day with one of my favourite blogging gals was exactly what I needed.
After setting the date way back in January, Bridie [of the beautiful MAISON ELLIS] arrived in town and we finally indulged in a [much needed on both parts] day of fun and frolicking in the city [although after somehow managing to wile away three hours engaged in non-stop chatter we were unable to put ALL of our plans into action [round 2 coming soon]]!. We talked beauty, blogging, and life over delicious chicken salads and G&Ts at The Blue Pig [see above]; before indulging in a tour of Manchester's department stores, where we bonded over our mutual adorations of Aēsop, expensive perfume, and Céline handbags. Kindred spirits indeed.
The rest of the week featured work, work, and yet more work; but the weekend has been a family affair - it's my momma's birthday - and rest assured she is being thoroughly spoilt [thanks in part to my recent trip to Liberty!]. So cocktails, Cowshed, and croissants are on the agenda for this morning!
I'm set for another busy week ahead - with deadlines looming, appointments in the city, and a weekend in Cardiff on the agenda -roll on Easter!
