Sunday Stuff #9

Sunday Stuff is having one last HURRAH before I shake up my weekend posts on TGG (details coming soon). Essentially, it's not really going anywhere - just having a name change. Because what could possibly deter me from sharing my Sunday beauty routine with you?

Nothing, whatsoever.

My final weekend at home was spent in style - saying farewell to our ginormous roll-top bath (sob sob) with all of the usual paraphernalia - face mask, bath oil, massage bar, fresh figs, and a darn good book. I'm moving to Manchester this weekend (as you read!), and although I am insanely excited for big city living, a final dose of home comforts was a non-negotiable.

As you know, nothing relaxes me quite like a long, hot bath, and Aromatherapy's Deep Relax Oil* was exactly what I needed after a hectic day of sorting and packing. With a rich blend of sleep-inducing essential oils guaranteed to put your mind at rest and soothe aching limbs, this multi-use oil is the perfect antidote to stress-inducing activity.

You can ALWAYS rely on Lush when it comes to indulgent post-bath treats, and you all know how I love a good glow-inducing product... Lush's Shimmy Shimmy Massage Bar is packed with cocoa butter, shea butter, and GLITTER. Heavy on the moisture and light on the shimmer, it leaves skin with a subtle iridescent glow and a sweet vanilla scent.

If you ever felt that sheet masks were a fad then allow me to introduce you to the Sarah Chapman 3D Moisture Infusion Masks*. This (less than flattering) mask envelopes the face like a second skin, providing instant absorption of an intensively hydrating serum - a blend of hyaluronic acid, multi-minerals, and rosewater which leaves skin feeling smooth, soft, plump, and positively packed with moisture. Wave farewell to dehydration, and hello to 'GLOW naturel'.

I'm 100% OBSESSED with Acqua di Parma's Ginepro Di Sardegna EDT* from the Blu Mediterraneo range. It's an all-Italian 'summer in a bottle' aroma, and if you're a fan of wearing more masculine scents then it'll be right up your street. Fresh and peppery upon first application but increasingly sweet and citrusy, this complex scent exudes elegance and one spray lingers for hours.

After spending the past few weeks packing, lifting, and cleaning, my nails are in no fine shape and haven't seen much by way of colour so I consider this mini-mani session to be well-deserved. I actually devoted an entire post to Dior's nail polish in Grege, which you can read here. Suffice to say that this still reigns as my HG nude nail colour. It's subtle, pretty, perfect for everyday, and a guaranteed compliment magnet.

Of course, no manicure session is complete without a layer of Seche Vite. The famously cult 'love it or hate it' topcoat keeps my polish intact for days, as well as providing a long-lasting boost of brightness, and avoiding any sticky debacles between nails and bedsheets.

After wallowing in the bubbles for a good hour I was served a generous helping of my mum's homemade Coq au Vin (accompanied by prosecco and homegrown green beans (remind me again why I'm moving out??)), before whiling away the evening in front of the fire playing board games and drinking COPIOUS amounts of tea.

Which products will you be reaching for this Sunday??
