June Beauty Favourites
Soap & Glory Orangeasm Body Wash - £6.50 I feel like I spend a very significant amount of time on here telling you how much I hate citrus fragrances before proceeding to give you (yet another) exception to the rule. Here's another, so maybe it's time to admit to myself that I am a citrus fan after all... Orangeasm is all things summery - fresh, fruity, and fun, sunshine in a bottle. I'm a massive fan of Soap & Glory's shower gels, namely because they last for-ever and are super easy to use, and I may just have to accredit this with being my new favourite.
Benefit High Beam Luminescent Complexion Enhancer - £19.50 I'm a bit of a highlighter addict and spend a lot of time hunting for products to perfect that 'lit from within' glow which has ousted matte makeup from its pedestal on the catwalk this season. This liquid highlighter is really easy to apply - I use the applicator to dot it along my cheekbones before gently blending it in with my fingertips in dabbing motions. It's a cool champagne colour with pink undertones that looks perfect on my pale skin, lasting the whole day, and perfecting the chiselled look with more prowess than your over the top bronzer ever will.
KIKO Longlasting Stick Eyeshadow in 06 Golden Brown - £6.90 If you read this post then you'll know all about my newfound penchant for an eyeshadow pencil. Easy to use, apply, blend, and retouch, they're a makeup newbies dream (and the perfect cheat tool for those of use who've been in the game for a while). I'm already wishing that I'd picked up more colours on my recent trip to KIKO (UK stores are limited to London, and online orders must exceed £25), because I can't get over how perfect the formula is. A burnt gold/bronze is my favourite colour to wear on my eyes as it really makes their colour pop and isn't too OTT (green-eyed girls take note).
A La Carte Cosmetics Cream Blush in Sweet Pea* - £25 Again, with the glowy look in mind, I'm a cream blush convert. I use my fingers to apply this pretty, subtle pink - a little goes a long way - on days when I'm opting for a little more colour in my cheeks. C'est beau!
Q Awe The Fine Fragrance Body Spray - £2.29 I've never really been one for using body spray (the Impulse obsession in high school was enough to scar me for life - that stuff was DIRE), until my mum lent me a bottle of this a few weeks back. It smells like perfume, and not even a cheap perfume - I kid you not... Devoid of the cheap, nasty, alcoholic odours of just about every other body spray on the market, this dreamy floral (but not granny floral) has me earning compliments all day long. It's insanely cheap, and is stocked in your local Boots - go go go!
