Lingerie Gets Luxe

Processed with VSCOcam with t1 presetFor those of you who dream of the day you will be able to afford to stock your underwear drawer with luxe pieces and designer labels, READ ON. Because in today's post I'm going to point you in the direction of making that dream come true a lot sooner than you anticipated. Founded in 1994 Agent Provocateur has fast risen to fame as the purveyor of luxury lingerie. Think sexy but not tacky, vintage but not fuddy-duddy. AP has nailed the balance. However, with prices starting at around £85 for a bra and £45 for bottoms I think we can all agree that 'affordable' and 'everyday' are (sadly) not words which can be applied here...

So let me introduce you to L'Agent by Agent Provocateur. The brand's first diffusion line brings to the scene the same high-quality garments and luxe design of the original line but without the extravagant price tag (bras from £40, knickers from £18 - MUCH better). In contrast to some of the more, shall we say "risqué"...pieces in the brands main collection, L'Agent presents more wearable items which the brand terms 'for everybody'. However, the line does not shirk in its design, and retains all of the main collections's luxury element, as well as its fun, sexy vibe (practically indistinguishably)  - but with the added bonus of comfort. We've all been in the situation where we've picked style over comfort when it comes to underwear and spent the better part of the day regretting it. Suffice to say there is a time and a place for sexy underwear and it probably isn't on a regular day with jeans and a tee. This, however is where L'Agent saves the day. Comfortable and wearable but oh so beautiful, perfect non?

My personal favourite? The Marisela Balcony Bra in Turquoise (currently on sale on at House of Fraser). I'm a sucker for underwear with a vintage look, so adore the lace and ribbon decoration, and I love the combination of the pretty, delicate details, with the bright, funky colours. This is also going down in my book with an A++++++ for comfort. It's the kind of piece you almost forget you're wearing, doesn't squeeze or dig in in any places, and is really easy to adjust. It also looks good (TMI?), but seriously some bras just don't, and this has a really flattering shape and fit - so it well deserves a mention.

Head to high-street favourite House of Fraser to shop an extensive collection of your new favourite lingerie (thank me later), and let me know which pieces catch your eye. To stay updated on future posts you can follow me on TwitterInstagramFacebook, and Bloglovin - and don't forget to enter my latest giveaway!
