Sunday Stuff #2
I'm writing this on my final weekend before heading back to uni so am making the most of having access to a bath by treating myself to my favourite Lush bath bomb, raiding my mum's nail polish stash, and finishing the last of my Christmas chocolate.
First up, a long hot bath featuring my favourite Lush bath bomb, and another of Lush's sweetshop-esque products, Space Girl. This reminds me of Love Hearts and Parma Violets and fills the bath with sweet scented glittery purple goodness. Post-bath a quick once over with Lush's Snow Fairy Sparkle Bar. Snow Fairy is my favourite Lush scent so I was so excited to see this product launched in the 2013 Christmas collection. However it is perhaps a little too strongly scented for me, and leaves unsightly pink smudges. Still, the smell lingers a long while, and once the pink has faded you'll see a pretty glittery shimmer. If you're a Snow Fairy fan it'll be right up your street. Aesop Parsley Seed Deep Cleansing Masque is my current favourite when it comes to face masks, reviewed here. I've been using this twice weekly over the past month and am loving the results. This mask applies beautifully and feels so light and soothing on my skin that I can almost forget that it's there. It smells fresh and herbal and leaves my skin bright and soft, completely drawing out any redness and reducing the appearance of blemishes immediately.
For my accent nail this week, O.P.I's all out glitter lacquer I Snow You Love Me. As expected, this is a devil to remove but looks and lasts uber well. I've paired it with Elle by Mavala, the perfect subtle, neutral shade to compliment the above. Next into bed where I've made a start on my Hotel Chocolat Christmas slab and am on the home straight of my latest Kindle download The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt. I've nearly finished this 2013 bestseller, and will be sad to see the end of it. Slow to start but beautifully written, and a lovely story, I'd definitely recommend a read if only for the beautiful descriptions of New York.
