Weekend Ritual #7

Sunday will begin as all Sundays should, with a Pinterest party in bed (join me here), copious amounts of coffee, and some serious testing of the latest beauty launches to land on my desk. That's what that extra hour is for right?

Winter beauty launches have been falling left, right, and centre this week, and my dressing table is a clutter of boxes and bottles. I've already given Nars' 2014 Holiday Collection a quick whirl, and ladies, it, is PERFECTION. There's a Christmas Day-worthy crimson lipstick, a deep brown-rose blush (think Douceur's bolder elder sister), and a striking navy nail shimmer which will see your nails through the festive season IN STYLE.

I've had a busy week in work, but Wednesday involved an afternoon of non-stop chatter with Jen. We ate and drank our way around a couple of Northern Quarter hotspots and did some planning for ALO's upcoming beauty content - speaking of which, my latest article is live! For ALL of your Sunday evening inspiration, head on over for my guide to creating a Five Step Home Spa in the comfort of your own bathroom.

Today's agenda is super relaxed - in the sense that there are no crazy 'here-there-everywhere' plans (in all honesty I don't even intend to leave my loungewear). I picked up a piece of wood earlier in the week which (with the help of wood stain and some serious girl-power) I'm planning on DIY'ing into the perfect little bath bridge.

As evening approaches, I'll be taking my own advice and creating a luxe Sunday spa from the haven of my own bathroom. I've created the perfect hair mask (based around coconut oil) so I'll be layering that on, digging into my Aesop stash for skincare goodness, and kicking back with the latest copy of Allure.

FOREVER wishing everyday was Sunday.

+ Meg shared this really great mix of 'under a tenner' beauty products (my beauty shopping list just grew a little). ++ I've lost count of the amount of times that I've watched this video in recent weeks, but if you're in pursuit of a glowing complexion then head on over and watch Terry Barber perform his magic (I defy you not to end up on the MAC website after this one). +++ A few weeks ago Lilly shared a seriously Pinterest-worthy flat-tour in photo form. I'm still swooning over the minimalist chic decor and her dreamy photography! ++++ Elle, Whistles, and The Fawcett Society have teamed up to launch a capsule collection to accompany the magazine's first FEMINIST ISSUE. It oozes girlpower, and launches on whistles.com on the 30th October, but you can get a preview here. +++++ And finally, this sneak peek of the Met's new costume exhibition 'Death Becomes Her' is yet another reason to wish yourself to New York.

What are your plans for this Sunday? Fill me in!
